Stonehenge at the bottom of Lake Michigan

In a shocking report in 2007, Mark Holley, an underwater archaeological professor at Northwestern Michigan University College, discovered a stone structure that some of them arranged in a circle and one of the stone has a carving of a mastodon. The composition of the stone was located 40 feet below the surface of Lake Michigan. Carving is thought to have lived 10,000 years - according to estimates mastodon and human existence on earth.

In the beginning, Prof.. Holley and a colleague named Brian Abbott hired a boat with sonar equipment to examine some of the shipwrecks in Lake Michigan. Then they found the strange stone formations include carved stone shaped like a mastodon. But they are not sure whether it is really carving mastodon or not. Michigan has previously had Petroglyph sites and even the standing stones like Stonehenge.


A representative from the University of Michigan Museum of Palaeontology commented that even though he was skeptical, he is interested to learn more and hope to see the results of a better photo of the arrangement of the stones.

So, is there really no Stonehenge in America that only dwells in lakes Michigan and waiting to be discovered? When archaeologists, shipwrecks and the remains of ancient joined, then formed a new mystery. Stonehenge mystery of Lake Michigan. We're waiting for disclosure.
