Lunar new year history

History of Chinese New Year. Lunar new year is a celebration for Chinese people. Lunar comes from countries whose population is majority Chinese. This celebration is also known as the Spring Festival or Chung Chie. This celebration is accompanied by a ritual called La (the last day of the year when the harvest has been completed and as an expression of gratitude, the Chinese (Chinese) to give offerings to the gods and ancestors). Well, History of Chinese New Year itself comes from the story of the Chinese community who have been legendary for the people of China.



Based on Chinese folklore, Chinese new year is celebrated as the Chinese managed to fight mythical creatures known as Nian, which means the year in Chinese. Nian creatures always appear on the first day of New Year and the arrival of Nian is devouring livestock, agriculture and even eat the population, especially children.For survivors of the catastrophe Nian, Chinese villagers would put some food on their doorstep on the first day of new year. People believe that, if Nian has taken / eating food that has been provided by the community, then Nian will no longer attack the people / residents.

One time, a resident of Nian witnessed fear and run away from a red-costumed children. Of the incident, the villagers finally know the shortcomings Nian feared the color red.Since then, each leading up to and during the New Year, people would hang red lanterns and put up curtains / red curtains on the doors and windows. In addition, people also use a firecracker to scare Nian. Since then, Nian has never again appeared in their villages. 

And finally, Nian was captured by Hongjun Lao Tzu, a Taoist priest. Nian later became animal mounts Hongjun Lao Tze.The special symbols also have meaning when Lunar such as:

    
Red color symbolizes happiness
    
Noodle dish that symbolizes longevity symbol
    
Yee Sang dish that symbolizes prosperity 


In addition there is one thing that is unique when the Lunar Chinese New Year is always celebrated with for-for angpao, and hanging with family during Chinese New Year night. This shows that mlek be celebrated with family and with a sense of joy. 
That's history so that today there are Lunar Chinese New Year celebrations both in her native China and in other countries because the Chinese New Year itself has worldwide.
