A well-known angler named Jeremy Wade twice encountered a mysterious creature known as the Holadeira when he was looking for pink dolphins of the Amazon (Inia Geoffriensis). The first time he saw the creature was in 1993. At that time he saw a jagged shape of the body that appears above the surface of the water about 100 feet from the boat.

When he was recording a group of dolphins that are emerging to the surface, he saw Holadeira, this time his head visible, and indeed the creature was a dolphin. The theory most often asked is the dolphin's fin damaged by fishing nets or fishing boat propeller. Another possibility is a genetic disorder suffered by the dolphins. It looks like the creature was not a new type species because only one dolphin has ever seen.
But there is another possibility, as Wade used to seeing dolphins, Wade associate the creature with the dolphins. And maybe the creature was indeed a new kind of monster Amazon. Moreover, if the fins were damaged by fishing nets, then the form of the damage is too neat.
